Marcus Palmer has operated many steak houses including Morton’s of Chicago, Smith & Wollensky and Angelo & Maxie’s Steak Houses in Boston and NYC….as well as working with Celebrity Chef’s Jean-Georges Vongerichting, Michael Schlow and Todd English!  Now he will bring all that experience to Andover with his newest concept Smythe & Dove Steak Dakota Bar! With the great success of his Littleton Seafood Restaurant Great Road Kitchen, Palmer now gets back to his roots so to speak with a more upscale concept perfect for Main St. Andover.

Take a historic barn setting with vaulted ceilings, second floor loft seating and combine it with an urban influenced décor and design and you will have the shell of Smythe & Dove Steak.  Now add ‘affordable quality steaks’, but not only steak, inspired seafood and pasta dishes round out this menu with something for everyone!  We’re not done yet…. how about an award-winning wine list, a serious selection of craft beers and a mixology program that will rival anything in Boston… now what do you get?   A metropolitan experience in a suburban setting and none of the ridiculous urban steak house prices!  Family friendly, suits or jeans, celebratory dinner, date night, watch the game in style…. you can do it all at Smythe & Dove Steak.

Dakota Bar will also fill that ‘bar’ void in Andover…. you can meet after work in a sophisticated yet comfortable environment for a drink, a quick bite or a night out on the town!

In our Wine Room there will be an intimate Private Dining Room for up to 10 guests…and for larger groups we offer two other private dining rooms for events from 18 to 50!
